For Private Schools & Learning Centers
IT That Lets Teachers Teach
IT for K-12 and after-school programs across SoCal — student devices, classroom networks, safe browsing, and staff email, supported without pulling teachers off task.
What does FERPA-aware IT for a small school or learning center include?
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for Education with MFA, role-based access to student records, encrypted backup of grade and roster data, BitLocker on every staff and student laptop, network segmentation between student devices and staff devices, and CIPA-aligned content filtering on school networks. FERPA covers who can access student records; we document the technical controls that enforce it.

Where schools get stuck
- Wi-Fi collapses the moment every student signs in at the start of class.
- Student devices are inconsistent — some locked down, some wide open.
- Parent portal login issues eat the front desk's whole morning.
- Staff share calendars, folders, and logins in ways that won't survive the first audit.
How we help schools
Network & AP Management
We manage your existing access points, switches, and network segmentation. If you need a new design, we coordinate with a low-voltage partner and own the day-to-day from there.
Student Device Management
Chromebooks, iPads, Windows laptops — enrolled, filtered, and locked down to what students should access.
Content Filtering
CIPA-aligned web filtering on school devices and networks, with age-appropriate rules by grade level.
Staff Productivity
Microsoft 365 for Education — configured with the right identity, sharing, and security controls.
Student Data Handling
Sensitive student data stored, shared, and accessed through clear, auditable controls — the kind of setup a concerned parent or inspector would want to see.
Parent/Family Portal Support
Password resets, access issues, and escalations to the portal vendor — handled so your front office doesn't have to.
Frequently asked
Do you support both staff and student devices?
Yes. We manage the staff Microsoft 365 environment and separate student device fleets (Chromebooks, iPads, or Windows) with age-appropriate controls.
What about summer — do we still pay when students are off?
We often structure school contracts around your fiscal year or academic calendar. Talk to us about what makes sense.
Have you worked with every school platform out there?
We're vendor-agnostic by design. When we haven't seen a specific platform or SIS before, we work directly with the vendor's support team to deploy it correctly — you get trained, accountable hands without paying for someone else's assumptions.
Is FERPA compliance required for private schools?
FERPA applies to schools that receive funding from the U.S. Department of Education. Most private K-12 schools that don't take federal funds aren't directly subject to FERPA, but parents, accrediting bodies, and state regulations often expect FERPA-equivalent handling of student records. We help private schools document who can access student records, where the records live, and how they're shared — the same controls FERPA-bound schools use, applied to your environment.
What does CIPA web filtering actually require?
CIPA requires schools that take E-rate or LSTA federal funds to filter internet access on school-owned devices and networks to block content that's obscene, child pornography, or harmful to minors. In practice that means a content filter on every school device and network, with documented policies and an Internet Safety Policy reviewed by the board. We deploy the filter, document the policy, and produce the certification language for your annual filing.
