Email Migration, Done Without the Downtime

Move from Google Workspace, GoDaddy, or on-prem Exchange to Microsoft 365 — without losing mail, calendars, or contacts. Inland Empire and Southern California.

Quick Answer

What does an email migration to Microsoft 365 actually involve?

Migrating mailboxes from GoDaddy, Yahoo, on-prem Exchange, IMAP, or Google Workspace to a properly configured Microsoft 365 Business tenant — without downtime. We handle the DNS cutover, enforce MFA, turn on conditional access, configure mailbox backup, and apply the security policies that should have been there from day one. Most migrations finish over a weekend.

  • Cutover planned around your business hours — not ours

  • Mail, calendars, contacts, distribution lists, aliases — all moved

  • Post-migration support window so nothing slips through

Why businesses come to us for migrations

  • Last migration was a mess — lost emails, broken calendar invites, angry staff.
  • Current provider is cheap but support is non-existent when things break.
  • Needing better security (MFA, phishing protection) that the current platform can't provide.
  • Consolidating multiple domains, companies, or acquired businesses into one tenant.

Our migration process

Every engagement covers these as the baseline.

Discovery & Scoping

We audit mailbox sizes, shared resources, third-party integrations (CRMs, phones, MFPs) so there are no surprises.

Pilot Migration

We migrate 2–3 test users first. You validate. Then we roll out to the rest.

Off-Hours Cutover

Final DNS cutover runs on a Friday evening or Saturday — your team opens Outlook Monday morning and everything works.

DNS + Deliverability

SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured correctly so your emails land in the inbox, not spam.

Client Configuration

Outlook desktop, mobile, Mac, web — reconfigured for every user with clear instructions.

30-Day Hypercare

Dedicated support for 30 days post-migration. Found a forwarded email from 2021 that didn't come across? We fix it.

Frequently asked

Will we have downtime during the migration?

No. We use coexistence during the cutover so users keep sending and receiving. The "switch" itself is DNS and propagates in minutes.

How much does a migration cost?

It depends on mailbox count, data volume, and complexity. We scope every migration for free and give you a fixed quote before any work starts — so there are no surprises.

Can you help us clean up before migrating?

Yes — we often purge stale mailboxes, orphaned aliases, and unused distribution lists before cutover. Migration is the best time to clean house.

How long does an email migration take for a small business?

For a small business with 10 to 30 users, a Google Workspace or GoDaddy migration to Microsoft 365 typically runs four to six weeks end-to-end. The bulk is discovery and pre-staging — gathering mailbox sizes, mapping shared resources, lining up DNS access, identifying integrations (CRM, phones, MFPs) that need reconfiguring. The actual cutover weekend is short. We schedule cutover on a Friday evening so users open Outlook Monday morning and email just works.

What happens to old emails when we migrate?

Mail history moves with the mailbox. Whether it's two years or fifteen years of email, we migrate it into Microsoft 365 with timestamps, folders, attachments, and read/unread state intact. Calendar history and contacts come too. Distribution lists, aliases, shared mailboxes, and forwarding rules are recreated on the new tenant. The only thing that doesn't carry over cleanly is bespoke email rules (auto-sort filters) — we provide a runbook so users can recreate the handful they actually used.
